TASS: Space – the Comet Churyumov

Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko with the module “Fily” reached the nearest point to the Sun

Apparatus “Rosetta” was launched into space in March 2004 with a spaceport in Kourou to study the comet 67P/ Churyumov-Gerasimenko. To the destination apparatus has arrived in 2014 and is currently in orbit around the comet. November 12, 2014 on the surface of the investigated object was launched module “Fily”. He entered the history of space exploration, as the first probe successfully landing on a comet for the first time and managed to drill the surface for the taking of soil samples. Thanks to this unique scientific mission scientists expect to obtain detailed data about the physical and chemical structure of the comet, which will greatly expand human knowledge about the origin of the Universe.

Space tourists threat?

Recently a team of American researchers said that the now popular space tourism can be dangerous for climate of the planet. However, many scientists refer to this statement with skepticism. My opinion on this subject the correspondent was expressed by one of the leading experts on space travel, Professor Alexander Bolonkin.

Recently the journal Geophysical Research Letters has accepted for publication an article in which a group of researchers suggests that the currently popular space tourism can be dangerous for climate of the planet. Although it is not yet printed, about this study already talking in many leading online publications. All of the authors of the publications seem to fully support the researchers ‘ view regarding the danger of space travel.
