The solar system is changing and nobody knows why

Our Solar system seemed to be something static, immutable and eternal. This is not so. Only in the last 10 years was fixed in a very significant change. Modern scientists are seriously concerned about these circumstances and try to identify why there are these global changes.

Astrophysicists have detected an increase in the intensity of the magnetic field of the Sun. As a starting point they took the beginning of observations, ongoing with 1901. It turned out that its magnetic field has increased over the years by as much as 230%!

Is it any wonder that the Aurora, which not so long ago admired only residents of the far North, now exists almost over the entire planet, including the regions where previously they had only seen on TV.

Christmas comet Lovejoy

Good Christmas gift for this year all lovers of astronomical observations . New for 2015, the comet called Lovejoy C/2014 Q2 will reach visible magnitude, making it visible to the naked eye.

Comet Lovejoy was discovered on 17 August 2014 in Australia through a 0.2-metre telescope, the Schmidt — Cassegrain. It became a discoverer Terry Lovejoy, who has already delighted us with the discovery and became famous because of this. As always, the comet was named in his honor. The comet was first recorded in Terry in the southern constellation the Poop.

7 January 2015 the comet will pass within 0,469 and.e. from the Earth. It crosses the celestial equator 9 January 2015, becoming the object for observation from the Northern hemisphere, and January 30 of 2015 will reach perihelion. The distance of the comet to the Sun at this point will be of 1.29.e. First C/2014 Q2 will move through the constellation of the Dove, and after go into the constellation of the Hare.
