Manned mission to Mars

By the end of XX century the mankind will be able to send a manned expedition to the planet Mars. The Soviet Union, the United States and other countries could combine resources to implement joint flight. In 1969 was declared a long-term program of the Soviet Union in the field of manned flights in which was planned the creation of orbital stations and laboratories with departing crews as the primary means of extensive exploration of outer space. They will be the “spaceports in space,” launch pads for flights to other planets. There will be large scientific laboratory for research into space technology and biology, medicine and Geophysics, astronomy and astrophysics.

Academician B. N. Petrov, at that time Chairman of the Council at the USSR Academy of Sciences on international cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space “Intercosmos”, noted that orbital space platforms will carry out the final Assembly of the spacecraft systems to conduct training classes of astronauts, which will be used to space conditions and to participate in the Assembly and testing of interplanetary ships.

Of course, the oceans are huge and mountains impress with their value. And seven billion people is a lot, but still. Since we all live on planet Earth (whose diameter is 12 742 km), it is easy to forget how insignificant we really are small. Jupiter – the largest planet of our Solar System. Ancient astronomers named Jupiter after the main Roman God. Jupiter is the fifth most close planet to the Sun. The atmosphere of Jupiter consists of about 84 percent hydrogen and about 15 percent helium, with small amounts of acetylene, ammonia, ethane, methane, phosphine, hydrogen and water vapor. Jupiter has a mass 318 times the mass of Earth and a diameter 11 times larger than the diameter of the Earth. The mass of Jupiter is 70% of the total mass of all other planets of our Solar System. The volume of Jupiter is large enough that it could fit 1300 planets the size of Earth. The planet has 63 known satellites (moons) but most of them have very small sizes, and disappear. While the Solar system in General and Earth in particular is the only house people, we need to know about this house. And what? Humanity is grappling over the years, it would seem, not so complicated questions, and no answers.

1. The Oort Cloud. Does the Oort cloud

The Oort cloud is the biggest mystery of the Solar system. People have never seen this hypothetical plot of the Universe, which, according to theories, is a place of formation of the comets with a long period of treatment. Scientists believe that the Oort cloud is located at a distance from 50 thousand to 100 thousand. E. from our Sun.
