On April 12 the whole world celebrates Day of aircraft and Astronautics.
This is a special day – a day of triumph of science and all those who are today engaged in the space industry.
Russia marks cosmonautics Day in commemoration of the first space flight by Yuri Gagarin. The holiday was established by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 9 April 1962.
April 12, 2010 isposed 49 years since the first flight of man in space. And did it our compatriot Yuri Gagarin. 108 minutes spent in space opened the way for other space explorers. For a short period of time since the first flight into space man has visited the moon, explored almost all the planets of the Solar system, but the first flight was the most difficult and dangerous.
But the confidence and optimism, the desire to conquer space overcame all obstacles. Addressing all the inhabitants of the Earth before launch on April 12 1961 Yuriy Alekseevich said, “Dear friends, relatives and strangers, countrymen, people of all countries and continents! Continue reading
Modern physics. A flight to Mars.
Russia is technically ready to organize a manned mission to Mars in early 2020-ies, the Director of the space research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences the academician the lion Green.
“Priority for Russia, and prestigious really the first to disembark an astronaut on Mars. This problem is economically and technically solved”, — said L. Green. According to him, if to begin preparations for flight in the near future, Russian cosmonauts can land on the surface of Mars in 2023-2025 years.
For the organization of the expedition, says L. Green, hurt Russia more than any other country, including the United States.
“We now have a certain handicap in this race, as we have the biggest experience in manned space exploration. Even in the bad 90’s, he worked as the station “Mir”, then there was the ISS. Thus a chain of manned flights have not been interrupted,” — said the scientist. Continue reading
Solar system – 8 planets and over 63 of the satellite, which are opened more often, several dozen comets and many asteroids. All cosmic bodies move in their precise directional trajectories around the Sun, which is 1000 times harder than any body in the solar system combined. The center of the solar system is the Sun – the star around which orbits the turning of the planet. They do not emit heat and not light, but only reflect the light of the Sun. In the solar system now officially recognized as the 8 planets. Briefly, in order of distance from the sun, we list them all. And now a few definitions.
A planet is a celestial body that must satisfy four conditions:
1. the body must revolve around the star (for example, around the Sun);
2. the body must have sufficient gravity to have a spherical or similar shape;
3. the body should not be near its orbit of other large bodies; Continue reading
