On April 12 the whole world celebrates Day of aircraft and Astronautics.
This is a special day – a day of triumph of science and all those who are today engaged in the space industry.
Russia marks cosmonautics Day in commemoration of the first space flight by Yuri Gagarin. The holiday was established by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 9 April 1962.
April 12, 2010 isposed 49 years since the first flight of man in space. And did it our compatriot Yuri Gagarin. 108 minutes spent in space opened the way for other space explorers. For a short period of time since the first flight into space man has visited the moon, explored almost all the planets of the Solar system, but the first flight was the most difficult and dangerous.
But the confidence and optimism, the desire to conquer space overcame all obstacles. Addressing all the inhabitants of the Earth before launch on April 12 1961 Yuriy Alekseevich said, “Dear friends, relatives and strangers, countrymen, people of all countries and continents! Continue reading
Recently a team of American researchers said that the now popular space tourism can be dangerous for climate of the planet. However, many scientists refer to this statement with skepticism. My opinion on this subject the correspondent was expressed by one of the leading experts on space travel, Professor Alexander Bolonkin.
Recently the journal Geophysical Research Letters has accepted for publication an article in which a group of researchers suggests that the currently popular space tourism can be dangerous for climate of the planet. Although it is not yet printed, about this study already talking in many leading online publications. All of the authors of the publications seem to fully support the researchers ‘ view regarding the danger of space travel.
What a project to promote space so scared of scientists from the Aerospace Corporation in Los Angeles (USA)? The fact that, in their view, flying back and forth space “shuttles” are left in the upper atmosphere is a lot of soot, which is a product of incomplete combustion of nuclear fuel. A group of researchers led by Martin Ross built a computer model of such contamination, based on information from business plans for space tourism in ha by 2020, and emissions estimates developed spacecraft SpaceShipTwo company Virgin Galactic’s. Thanks to the flight to Pluto the earthlings had the opportunity to see a completely unknown distant world, but the planet itself asked scientists puzzle that requires resolution, said in an interview with radio Baltkom, the Russian astronomer who discovered the brightest comet of the decade ISON Artem Novichonok.
“We, first of all NASA employees,as well as all humans, had the opportunity to see a completely unknown distant world located on the outskirts of the solar system and he was totally not as what we expected. This world presents a lot of surprises and much more when the device will reset all data”, – said the scientist.
“First of all we are talking about data relating to the formation of the solar system in General and the formation of those distant objects, one of which is Pluto. Learning of this mission, we see a completely unusual structure, we see that the surface of Pluto and its satellite Charon are very young, suddenly, their bodies are very small, cold, much less the Earth and explain this geological activity is quite young mountains, the age of which children on the part of the solar system is very young, the plains are also very young, completely devoid of craters. All of these processes obyasnite does not work. Continue reading
